Thanks, Ruby, for all your kind compliments. I'm so glad you've been enjoying the fractal/photoshop play I've been doing. I have some more I'll be posting soon that turned out amazingly beautiful. Hope you enjoy them too.
Hello ruby! I of course appreciate your kind words on "Painted Flowers". Yeah, i'd love to paint some of your flowers but we'll leave that to mother nature herself. :) Thanks.

Thanks Ruby for the comments on my Campfire 2 image. I took this image with a tripod and a longer exposure using the self timer shutter release feature. Sorry but I'm doing the low carb diet and I don't have any marshmellows. This fire was used to cook a steak. I'm glad that you like it.

Hi Ruby, thanks for looking at a number of photos from my gallery! In answer to your question on Wyeth House, the place is Monhegan Island, which is about 10 miles off the central coast of Maine. Monhegan is about 1 mile wide by 1.5 miles long and has the highest sea cliffs on the east coast of the US (which are shown in Black Head at Dawn). The Wyeth house is on the southwest corner of the island and looks generally south into the Gulf of Maine. This part of the island is still pretty rugged, but has no high cliffs.
I always apreciate hearing from you and reading your comments. And by the way, your tarantua can whip my little Caedes spider with 7 legs tied behind its back.
Good morning Ruby! Thank you for viewing and comminting on my Backyard Flower image. I'm glad that you liked it. Thanks for all of your support of my images.

Hey again Ruby...I still think your spider can beat up my spider, but whatever...thanks for comments on Blue Emerging. This was a "grab" shot without a tripod that I was lucky not to blur. I was going for the flowers, and not until I got home and looked at it did I see all the stems and opening blossoms underneath.
Hi Ruby...I've missed you...thank you so much for your sincere comments on "Bittersweet"...I'm very glad you like it and very glad I was able to come up with some words that seemed fitting for Joost's beautiful image...most of the credit goes to

Hello Ruby. Thank you very much for viewing and commenting on my Ginkgo Leaf 2 photo. I was out checking to see if any of the leaves had started to turn and noticed the sun shining through the leaves. I just had to take a picture of it. I'm glad that you liked it.

Hi Ruby, thanks for the comment on Lighthouse Moon. Much appreciated. And for "Hi Babe..." you were correct...I had as much fun making up the title as I did taking the photo...Mike

The Passing , thanks Ruby for your comments. I was trying to show the gloom of it all , I didn't think it would go over, but i though it was worth a try. Dwught.

Thank you Ruby for the comments and support of my Mountain Stream 6 photo. This was taken with a digital camera set on ISO 64, F8 and about a 1 second shutter speed. I used a tripod, polarizing filter and the self-timer. The focal point was the middle of the picture for a better depth of field. I'm glad that you liked it.

Hello Ruby. Thanks for the greeting and comments on my Russ photo. I was inspired by you and Mimi posting your photos for us to see. The 30th was my birthday and I spent the day taking photos and figured I'd make a self portrait since I haven't done one in years. I can't imagine why anyone would want to download it though.
Russ
Hey Ruby, thanks for your time, and comment on No time to stand and stare. I think they all must be related, you get two of them together they really have a good time, i could watch them for hours. Have a good day. Dwight.

Thanks for the comment on "Camouflage it Ain't", Ruby. Hard to believe how brightly colored wood duck males are. It actually looks overdone in the photo, but that's how bright they really are. Also glad you liked "Go Forth", thanks for the comment there, too. Hey, I see you changed your logo...is that dog a friend of yours?
Hi Ruby. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my Spook Night photo. This was taken during the day and under exposed to darken the image. The forground was placed over my star background and added a diffused glow. The ghost was another tomb stone that I cut out and added a glow and made transparent. The color was removed to give it a night effect. It's all smoke and mirrors from photoshop.

Thanks for your enthusiastic response to "Plication" and the high vote. Encouragement is always a plus. The pathetic "macro mode" on the excuse for a camera I have been using is cumbersome, I only wish I could have gotten closer and crisper. Thanks again! :-)
