Cahleen;
Thanks for visiting my Carnation Ice Cream, image. This was a fun set-up. I sometimes feel that my still life's get a bit to formal. This type of work allows me to relax and have fun.

Hello Cathleen. The bee in “Life Bee In It” was attracted to the lens of the camera for some reason, it was an opportunity handed to me by fate. Thanks for your interesting comments and query.
Also many thanks for your comments about “Cosy Couple” They are much appreciated.

Hi again, Cathleen ! Nice to see you liked "Blue Propellers" ! These hepaticas can be seen in every forrest here right now. A nice little flower with a wonderful blue color.. Thank you so much for commenting !
hey again, thanks a lot for your great comments on "a gentle swim" and "raindrops".. the first one was surprisingly simple to make and was sort of made as a joke lol
Thanks for taking a peek at my gallery and for your very generous comments! May I return the compliment and say your gallery is gorgeous, 'Black Eye' in particular jumped right out at me.

Many thanks for commenting on my image. Inside the Tulip. Also, thanks for commenting on Reading. I added the blur in photoshop - the whole text was in focus initially.
I also appreciate you finding the time to leave some feedback on my abstract piece, Blood and Ink.

Hi Cathleen and many thanks for liking "Emergence"! I am glad you liked it! In answer to your question about where do find my flowers, I would say that many I buy and arrange them, other shots are usually outdoor shot when the season and weather permit! I love to photograph almost any flower I see, LOL! Sincerely, Marilyn

Thank you, Cathleen..those were some very generous comments on my photo indeed. thank again! that image, along with 'Silhouette' are just 1 vote away from gaining a c-index/rating..i hope they make it to the permanent gallery *fingers crossed* as they are personal favourites
Hi Cathleen
Thanks very much for you comment on "Mmm red..orange..yellow" glad you like it.
I can just say ..keep on trying to shoot lily's, one day you will get the shot you want.
I think for me this is one of the reasons to be here on Caedes...to learn, to envy to get stimulated by others, to shoot more and better.
If I see your work and hear what you told me about how you walking around all day with your camera an shoot.
Well i guess..if I see the results of your work now....you will get better and better very soon.
Once again , you have a great eye for photography.
hey cathleen, when you get a chance, check out some of my recently posted pictures. I particularly like 'Boulevard', and would appreciate your comments on them.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Hi Cathleen, many thanks to you for liking and commenting on "Seeking the Sun"! I appreciate your tips very much!! I will certainly think about your suggestion! Please stop in for another visit! Sincerely, Marilyn
Cathleen, thanks for your comment on "Apparition". It seems you found it on the ideal day. Did you go out foraging for processed sugar in honor of the holiday?
I like your description "girlie-female type". What exactly does that mean? :-)
Of course I dressed up! :-) I was only allowed to go my first time 2 years ago (strange family rules), so I am kinda new at it. I wore a long gray trench coat, sunglasses, black gloves, and a black hat. I walked around with my hand inside my coat like I was holding a shoulder-holstered weapon and didn't care to conceal it. The mobster outfit would have been complete if I had a violin case, but alas, nobody in my family plays. :-) My friend dressed up as a hick, which he pulled off marvelously, and his little brother was a cereal killer, complete with a cheerios box with a knife through it. They had to keep reminding me how much fun ti would be if I was 3 feet shorter. :-D
I am all for originality and creativity, but you did have me wondering if the extra "girly" emphasis before female was expressing what some choose to call extreme blondness (regardless of hair color).
Sorry for clogging up your profile page like this (all in the same day, no less!), but what can I say?
I don't know if you are familiar with this concept or not, but you aren't supposed to vote highly just because your friend posted the image! :-) Being generous once or twice is one thing, but toying with me and making me think I am good is completely different. ;-)
As for your images, sometimes they have a bit of grain, but other times they don't, it is just the composition that seems a little bit busier than normal. In my opinion, it is the weird multi-colored grain (you know, all blue and green and red) that looks the worst, but every time I have that in an image I like, I chicken out and make it a b&w. (SHH!) I can see about uploading an image to day, but I have so much homework, it is getting absurd. I spent 3.5 hours on homework straight already!
Hehe, you don't give up. :-D "Chintzy" was created by moving the camera. Motion shots can either make pastel-like images if there are lots of bright colors (select flowers, ect.) or fractals if you are int he city at night. Try it sometime; have somebody drive around where there are lots of signs (Applebees, McDonalds, Papa John's, and so on), turn the camera's flash off, and make sure it will choose a long shutter. It really isn't as hard as you might think, but don't expect every picture to be perfect. In fact, don't be angry if less than 1/20th of the pictures are worth anything at all. I can email you the original of "Chintzy" if you want. You would both be surprised how much I changed and also surprised at how not-photography the original is.
:-)
Thank you for your comment on "sparkle". It probably would have looked better contrasted, the reason it isn't is because I had to completely reformat my computer, and reinstall windows and we only saved selected programs,
so right now the only thing i really have to edit pictures is paint.
That's probably why it's grainy too, paint isn't that great to use to resize and image.
Thanks a lot for your comments of "its coming", Im glad u liked it. BTW, I click on your link to yor web site, and is not working...
