Hi Anne, thanks for the sweet and kind comments on Chelone much appreciated.
The right leave is not in focus on the original so this was the best I could do. I considered to clone out that leave but that didn´t turn up good :)
Have a great evening :)
Hi Anne. Thanks for all the comments on my recent posts. You know I value your input and appreciate you always taking the time to stop in and leave your constructive words. Much appreciated
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Glad you got to see the duck family and the little one alone. It was fun to chase them around and then watch them all wander off into the high reeds. You're too kind with your words and I appreciate the time you take to always stop in. Thanks Anne.

Hi Anne, thanks for commenting on "no lunch today.." It is a real compliment that you like it! I thought it was quite amusing and was pleased when I spotted the two ducks just sitting there on the no fishing sign! :) Patti

Thanks Anne for commenting on "Fall Cabin". Actually that cabin didn't have a door at all. It was a hallway through to the otherside. On the other side was a a lily pond and a walkway that led to an old water wheel mill. Could have put a door there but I just left it like it was.
Kia Ora Anne, I am sending this message from somewhere to thank you for replying to my postcard :) I am not quite sure where but I should be back here soon.
I never though of cropping the sides of it although I did remove quite a large stretch of empty road from the front. It was just a random shot that I was lucky enough to capture the busses, the taxi and the flag.
Thanks for your very kind comments on "Ripples beneath the Guadalupe" Anne. Seeing all the colors through the clear waters of the Guadalupe River was just amazing. So glad you enjoyed the ripples ;) and I appreciate you always coming by and leaving comments. Anita

Hey Anne, thanks for your comments on my posting "if you were a russian torpedo ..".
Not sure if you've ever been on a Submarine. This picture was captured in my recent first-foray onto one. With great luck, this old BBQ was securely tied to dock and there wasn't a hint of it leaving. It gave me a solid appreciation for the people (did I say idiots?) who would enter these vessels and actually submerge in the hope of return. Pity the truth of the lie that they were safe. Glad you're brothers experience is in history.

Thanks for checking out "A Mural" and "Sea Lion Sibs" Anne. I'm still trying to do better with the sea lions and went back to the zoo today to get some more shots, hoping for a better one ;) Always appreciate you stopping in and leaving your supportive comments.

Thank you Anne for commenting on "The Mill". At the time of this posting I had not gotten out to view the wonderful fall colors around the neihboring forests but I just had to get something Fallish in the contest. Since this posting there are some nice photos in my archives. I'll put them in soon but not in the contest. I appreciate all the encouragement.
Thank you Anne for the nice comment on "Retired". I love those old worn relics from the past. They tell a story of times that many people have experienced. They were hard times and good times and maybe some not so good. I'm not as old as this relic but I remember those old days in the field.
Hi Anne - thanks so much for your birthday greeting - miss Oklahoma :))) Loved it! You're very kind and I decided I got a year wiser but not a year older (until I look in the mirror! LOL) - Many thanks again; you all made me smile! - Patty
Hi anne, no I did not make my avatar, like you he reminds me so much of my cat Ambrose, who sadly died 2 years ago. I found the avatar at one of those gif animation websites, have no clue which one though...sorry. Im glad you like it :)

Hello Anne. Thanks for stopping by to comment on "Guntersville Lake". That was a real brooding day. The sun poked through a few times but mostly it was real dark clouds and chilly weather from our cold front that moved in for a while. Hope things are going good where you live.
You score 100 % correct on this Anne. One of the tallest bridges I know of in North Alabama. The road use to run down near the creek on a narrow bridge but so many people were getting killed that they closed that way off and built a beautifully wide one across that valley. Thanks for looking at "Rock Creek". I hope you enjoyed it.
Hi Anne, Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I'm probably the one most critical of my own photos. Sometimes even if I'm not sure of one, I'll post it anyway, just to see the reaction or comments. Sometimes I think something isn't great and I'll get good comments and sometimes I post something I think came out pretty well and it won't get a great reception. Ah, but I just keep plugging away. The fun is in the capture, I think. I try not to be too serious about it and just do it for the pleasure of it. I really appreciate your views on my posts. I find them helpful.
Hi there Anne. Thanks for dropping by Seahorses At Play & commenting. I really enjoyed the glimpse into your life. By the way, maybe you could tell your husband to get a picture of salt water fish & prop it up in his aquarium. ;o) I'm sure it won't work, but it's worth a try.
Thanks for coming by to see the "White Bellied Go Away Bird" Anne. It's really a mouth full to say that one fast ;) Thanks for your comments and always constructive input. I appreciate it. Anita

I know what you mean about sharper on the bird pictures. Shooting through the glass at the Zoo makes it hard to begin with...and I'm hoping to get better at it or maybe I'll get lucky and they'll find a way to have the birds outside without barriers at some point. Anyway, always glad to see you and thanks for coming by to view the recent posts. Appreciate your input and comments very much Anne. Anita.

hi anne....i went back for butterflies today and did much better. it's a monarch display and it will close nov. 5. as for the sunset shot.it must just be the way the color adheres to the cacti (?) in the photo. i have no idea. i'm sure glad you took a look and commented. thanks....jen
Sincerest of thanks for your kind comments to 'Rich-Falls' Anne.....
The waters brown because the river has been in flood for a good while, with the heavy rains we have had recently?........

Anne,
thank you for your nice comment on 'good night, dear sun'. the two light things are through other arches, there are two rows of arches on the front half and one on the back half, because the arena was built on a mountain side, and on top is another row of square openings. thats where the light came from :o)

Thanks for stopping by Anne. I hope you liked "The Forbidden Fruit" fractal. I couldn't help but see the similarity to a heart and an apple in this flame fractal.
Hello Anne. "Birds Ahoy" was a hopeful picture. When I got home an enlarged it it was less than I expected so not to be undone I figured it into the art side of me. I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting.
Hey Anne , thx for your recent comments. About in the void # 2 , i sometimes use a black piece of cloth , i prefer natural light ( so no flash and outside ).

Hello Anne, many thanks for stopping by and leaving such nice comments on Fall Fishing Revised...I'm very pleased you enjoyed it and appreciate your time and favorable feedback.:Pat.
Hi there Anne! Thanks so much for dropping by Madison Avenue Chic & commenting. I really appreciated your kind words as I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. Well, hardly anybody's except mine. ;o) Thanks again for all your support hon.
Me again Anne ... LOL ... I'm so glad you enjoyed my Autumn Marigolds well enough to comment on it. I really appreciate it & hope you have a great day !

Hi Anne, thankyou for your lovely comment on "Another Day". You have some absolutely gorgeous pics in your gallery and I'm honoured that you would like one of mine so much. Best wishes, Kelcey.
Hi Ann ,and Thanks for commenting on Adrift.there always appreciated.Your right when this is viewed in full size, the boat is out of focus.I took the boat out of one of my early photos, and it was small, when it was enlarged, its out of focus, andI think that could be the problem. Thanks again Brian..
Hi Anne,
Thanks for your very kind comments on Salt Marsh Creek they are always welcome. the picture was originally a straight watercolour and has been added to and `tweeked' a bit in Photoshop (sky, trees mud bank etc.)
Hi Anne, belated thanks for commenting on my recent (or not so recent, I'm so far behind:) pics. I'm always glad when you stop by. Have a great day, Kelcey.
Hello Anne. I'm Late ... I'm late for a very important date .... Way behind in my "Thank you's" My apologies ... I'd hate you to think I didn't appreciate your comment left at "Lil Chickadee 1" because nothing could be further from the truth. Thanks for taking the time to offer your thoughts.

Living Waters is another test of merging 3 photos of different exposures into Photomatrix to enhance the tonal range. This software added vibrance to a bland image with good results. Thanks for your nice comments Anne.

Thanks Anne for viewing and commenting on my Sunset Watchers image. These birds lined the shore along Highway 60 crossing the Northern part of Tampa Bay. I found a place to stop and get this handheld photo. They all seemed to be watching the sunset like the angels from the movie. Maybe they are angels. I'm glad you had a chance to view it.

Kia Ora Anne, I am pleased you liked the little duckling, and thank you for your comment. I went back to the creek to check up on them on Wednesday and they have all grown. No pics this time, they were too busy, but was waylaid once again by some pretty flowers . . . .
I actually have one of what happened after he did take the plunge - I may try and tidy it up a bit, and post it. He got all excited and swam round and round the mother causing her to get quite agitated as she was in the middle paddling on the spot trying to keep her eye on him. I could watch them all day :)

Thank you so much for your kind words on "Hidden."
I have followed in your footsteps on comments and besides the wonderful work in your gallery (give me some time to catch up) ... it seems apparent that you have a most discerning and appreciative eye.
A very very huge THANK YOU for your generous comment on "winterscape", Anne. I do appreciate it very much, as I do with all your comments. Your compliments made my heart soar. This year we have had some serious problems with snow supply for Christmas in Europe that is why I decided to post this winter wonderland to make my friends at least taste the winter season with their eyes… and wait patiently for the snowfall to come.
Hi Anne. I thank you for your comments on "Restful Journey" and plan to take a look at your suggestion to crop the bottom and the left. It sounds very interesting and I appreciate you taking the time to look at this photo and give me some creative ideas concerning it. ~~ John

Anne, thanx SO much for your tips and advice you left on "Like a River...", you can't imagine how much I appreciate it. You may also be interested in the tips that were left here regarding post editing work!
Thanx again for taking the time to offer so much help!
Anne, thanx again for your very kind words on "Honey Creek Parkway", they mean an awful lot to me (and so much more from someone who isn't afraid to throw an honest critique out there!).
Thanks anne for taking the time to comment on my photo "Here we go again" Glad you liked the male downy woodpecker. I agree about the dead twigs on the right, thanks for being honest. I will try to catch up on my comments soon.
Hi Anne,
the tulip macro was natural, but is use Canon DPP RAW converter.
That program allows post processing which is nomally done in the camera. In this photo I changed the histogram to darken the already dark background even more.
Thank you for you comment!

Hello Anne - Many thanks to you for faving my picture "Bringing It All Back Home". I'm so pleased you liked it, and the gesture is much appreciated.

Hello Anne,
I've read your comment on my 'butterfly 07 of 12 image'. Thanks a lot for that. I appreciate your honesty highly, but, please, allow me to add some words:
Of course I know the 'rule of thirds' by heart. In my opinion, it's basicly a good rule when it's used with some flexibility. Some people use it however as a kind of dogma, not allowing some kind of interpretation at all. When used only in this way, I hate this rule.
Although I have considered to crop my image in the by you suggested way indeed, I've decided however not to this. In the first place because any cropping will mean loss of quality to a certain extent, in the second place because the butterfly has already a somewhat off-centered position in the image, and in the third place because I've tried to achieve a certain variety in this series, as another, by me disagreed, dogma is that butterflies should be depicted in an image as big as possible.
Anyhow, thanks again for your constructive meant advice!!
Kind regards, Cornelius.
Hi Anne, thank you very much for leaving such a positive comment on my photograph of Salzburg at night - 'city of lights'. I used a bridge as a tripod and did set the camera for long exposure using the timer so I did not have to touch the camera - I think it paid off! :) ps the camera I used was a Canon 350D with standard lens if I remember correctly.
...and thank you also for the comments on one of my sunrise photos! :)

Goll-lee Ann, I ain't gonna be able to get me hat on me head after that. Thankyou so much.
Hi Anne and thank you for taking the time to look at and comment on my "Driftwood Fence". Your review makes me feel like a real photographer! Much appreciated. Doug.
Dear Caedes Friends, you are a bunch of really neat people and this site has some amazing images shared by people who deserve not only praise but the courtesy of genuine, helpful critique. Many of them may be happy with comments like, "great shot" or "nice image." Frankly, my eyes are old and my time is short and I really want people to give me the honest dope. I've had very few people at Caedes do that. For those of you who have, a HUGE thanks. I appreciate your honesty more than I can express.
For the rest, whether from ignorance or perhaps a gentle spirit afraid to be brutally honest, it just isn't working for me. I have enjoyed giving people honest and constructive criticism to help them grow in their craft and I had hopes for good return.
Alas, all my harping in attempt to "train the uneducated" has fallen on deaf ears. I'm not being unkind or critical of anyone. I just finally get it - the greater number of members at caedes who have commented on my images don't get it. I've deleted all my images and am saying a fond farewell to Caedes and sincerely wish you all the best. Peace and blessings, anne =D
