"This existence of ours is as transient as Autumn clouds. To watch the birth and death of beings is like looking at the movements of a dance. A lifetime is a flash of lightning in the sky. Rushing by, like a torrent down a steep mountain. "

And why are you anxious about what to wear? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin. And yet I say to you, that even Solomon in all his glory is not arrayed like one of these.

Thank you for your comments on "Marshall Point". It's located in Port Clyde, Maine (mid-coast). It was the location of the scene from "Forrest Gump" when Tom Hanks' character runs back and forth across the country, at one point arriving at the Atlantic coast.
Hey you :) Thanks for the stop at "Crossings". Means alot for your time and comments. Your awful sweet to do that!! I am glad that you liked the manipulation on this image. Come back again :)

thank you so much for leaving a comment on "Posing Ashore", I'm glad you liked it enough to take some time and tell me your opinion about it. I don't know if you have heard about the bird flu which has reached the East Coast of Germany last week. More than hundred swans were found dead and now the government is trying to do anything that's possible to prevent a spread of that disease. Well... this one on the picture is hopefully still safe and sound. Thank you once again for watching and leaving a comment. Feel free to visit my gallery, maybe you'll find something more of your interest there.
I had just finished writing you some grateful words, when I found another one of your comments on a picture from my gallery. This time it was "Warp 7" which caught your eye. Thank you for your kind words, they are really appreciated.
Hi Dianna, Thanks for the comment on "Ocean Beach". This is the 1st b/w image that I've posted and wasn't sure what kind of reponse it would get as a desktop.
Hi Dianna! I am so pleased to hear that you like ''Neath The Moon's Unshadowed Light'....thank you so very much, also, for the really gracious comment you left for it as well! I sure appreciate you and it's always a pleasure hearing from you!
Thanks once again!

Hi Dianna, thanks for the comments on "White Cliffs of Dover". The rocks are actually suspended on something like fishing line. This is from a display at the Milwaukee Art Museum. The artist had a note that she had to get special permission from the government (British?) to collect the stones! The display is quite massive, which may not translate that well in the photograph. My best guess is the artwork is 48 feet wide by 24 feet high. It was difficult to decide what angle to take the photograph. I've never really seen subject matter like this before, so didn't know if going for depth or a straight on shot was best. Glad you like, good conversation piece. Thanks again.
Hey Dianna! What a pleasure it was reading your comment on 'Dessert', your gracious words were so very much appreciated...thank you bunches, friend!!
Cindy
I noticed that you noticed the way I noticed the sunrise on my "El Diable" photo. I'm a big fan of sunrises, and I enjoy being awake at 5AM to catch the world before it is born. Every once in a while the clean humid air produces a still beauty like that morning. I was just lucky to be on the road on a bridge facing east when it happened. Thank you so much for the comment, and I'm awfully glad to hear that you like the gallery. It's great fun creating this stuff, and the only thing I don't like is having to throw away as much as I do.
Hello there Dianna! What a joy it was reading your really gracious comment on 'A Magical Place', you don't know how much your kindness and support mean to me, I'm so grateful for you! I had fun doing that one...and I'm glad to see you like it!

Thank you for the comments! I took "Beware the jellies" at the monterey bay aquarium, because I would never get in the water with jelly fish! crazy! Thank you!
Kind of you to comment on my posting PORTAL. You wrote "This is a magnificant photo!!! Like the lines and the sepia/blue color! Good exposure and clarity. Top vote from me! "
Hi there! I'm sending you bunches of thanks for the really great comment you left for 'Day Of Faith And Flower', I really appreciate you!
Thanks a million!
Cindy
Hi Dianna, thanks for your comments on equine tranquility and the other pictures...i think about photography as trying to make an image that's alive...(yours certainly are) not so you say that's a pretty picture like something you've seen before.. but so you get that sensation of experiencing something....like when a fox jumps out and you say fox! I've noticed that looking at this site on another computer that the pictures can look quite different for color and contrast. So maybe when people give advice on that they may not be seeing exactly what you are seeing. Today after work on my way home I was looking at a frozen pond and I saw a fat otter playing on the ice.... he'd launch himself and slide on his belly....I didn't get the shot..but i bet if you were there you would have! thanks again..Paul
Hi Dianna! I sure do appreciate the comment you left for 'Runs The Silent River', thanks bunches for your nice words! It is a beautiful place to visit, especially in the Spring and Summer so if you're ever this way, bring your fishing pole and we'll make a day of it!
Thanks a million!
Cindy

Cindy
Dianna, thanks for your many comments on my recent photos, i look forard to reading what you have to say. I think iove lost track, being home with the flu this is a nice occupation. I think that you probably share with me that sensation I get sometimes taking photos, a kind of reverie, being in the moment especially when the light is right..and product almost doesn't matter...it's really about looking... It's an added pleasure to be able to share what one finds on a site like this... I look forward to seeing more of your pictures....thanks Paul
Hi Dianna! It was such a pleasure reading the comment you left for 'Life Force'...thanks a million! I'm most grateful for your time and encouragement, it's very much appreciated!

Cindy
Thanks a million, Dianna, for the super nice comment you left for 'Happy Birthday Brix!', I'm most grateful as well as very pleased that you like it! You're the best!
Cindy :)
Dianna, thanks again for all your comments. I may have to some nuts, much cheaper than a zoom lense. I heard a story on NPR once about who had wild birds sit on his hands with such a technique. My submissions may slow down quickly at least until spring. Somehow I can't bear the thought of posting pictures of snow and ice..to close to home... thanks again Paul
G'Morning Dianna! I truly appreciate the comment you gave for 'Perhaps Lost And Never Found'...a super big thank you for the really kind words!
Most grateful!
Cindy
I'm uploading my photography on deviantart.com as well so you'll start seeing some of my same stuff on that site aswell. If I think people like it enough, i might buy a subscription and sell my artwork on it.

Hi Dianna, thanks for your comments on "One Wrong Step." I think the old guy must have met his demise by the numerous seals who were hanging poking their heads out about ten feet fromt the shore like spectators. The claw alone in addition to being bigger than my foot was much larger than any whole lobster that I've dined on. Thanks! Paul
Dianna, about the blue waters at Orleans, thanks for taking time to look at it....what I really wish...is that i had been able to capture the seals poking their heads out of the surf! thanks Paul
Dianna, i've gotten behind in my comments, many thanks for your thoughts about "Watchful" I think about the expressive aspect of photography...since you can't really capture the reality...you can create a kind of merger of what you saw and how it makes you feel....thanks for commenting again.. Paul
Hi there Dianna! Thanks so much for the gracious words you left for 'Rub-A-Dub!', I certainly appreciate it so very much! I'm still trying to learn what my editing stuff does as well, so I play and play and try to figure it out...only problem is, most of the time I can't duplicate something I've done before because I forgot what I did...lol!! Maybe one day I will get it all done correctly...lol!
Thanks again so very much!
Cindy
