Hi Leuan, thanks for commenting on Marble, I agree at first glance the swirls look less remarkable but they must be seen fullscreen to fully appreciate them. Thank you for pointing this out and I appreciate the comment.
Thank you it took me forever to get this picture I sat at my window for about an hour and everytime I would look away lightning would strike it was funny, then I finally got it.
Thanks for commenting on Humavian, and even adding it to your favorites -- what a compliment. :) Unfortunately I don't have it in higher resolution, since some of the images were rather small, and if I tried to resize them to a larger scale they'd get pixelated.
Thanks leuan for your appreciation of my not quite a flower photo. It is a gorgeous phormium, a New Zealand plant which grows well here in NW Scotland.
Your appreciation is valued by me! You are a great photographer with an eye for the unusual!

G'day Ieuan: Thanks for your comment on "Moleculare Rainbow" glad you took time to look and comment. It's appreciated. Cheers Al. Ps. I've had a look at your photos. I really like the Ulm Cathedral one. Very impressive. Cheers Al.
The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken.

leuan said "Lovely shot. The leaves make a great background to the image. Those seed pods are amazing... they look exactly like someone has been scribbling with a pen.
Thanks for sharing,"
and Kate replies:
I'm so glad you saw it the same way as I did! Have a great week!

Ieuan: Thanks for taking the time to comment on "Back Off." And I agree with those who find focus and exposure "problems" here - - but the little guy's ATTITUDE was just too good to pass up! Gene

All right leuan , thanks for looking at my pic " Liz & Toby in the snow — december 2005, here `s hoping we in the east of England get loads of snow over Christmas (i can then stop posting snow pic `s from 2005) bye Steve
Thanks, leuan, for commenting on "Reach." I took it just for fun, but it did turn out to be the perfect layout for a desktop. Thanks again, and I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and comment on '11 Jungle Way'. I'm really glad you liked it. I think you are probably right about the sign. It was something of a last minute addition and I should have spent more time integrating it properly into the image if I was going to do it at all. Thanks so much for mentioning this - it is so hard to improve if nobody tells me what I need to pay attention to!
thanks man for checking out "crystal blue 2".. the deep blues of the original eventually seemed to take away from its detail, so I couldn't help messing with it.
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Hi leuan
Quite right about the border - the sculpture was originally in portrait and I just cropped the top. I didn't want to resize from there, but I agree, the border is too much! Lovely to see you again

Thanks a lot for taking the time to comment on my 'Calm' picture. Also, a wide angle lens is really worth the investment, especially a good one, I use mine probably 80% of the time.
