Hello Fred. Here I live not more than 150 miles from "Covered Crossing" and I'm learning things from someone half way around the world that I didn't know. I really appreciate your comments. I've entered that data into my image sorting software.
I think I'll go look through your Gallery.
We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

Thanks for you comment on Friendly Grasshopper.. This character follows me all over the garden.. He (or she) seems to like me, and know I would never hurt him.. He seemed to be posing for me.. I was very close and not a bit of fear.. I got several good shots but liked this one the best... I do appreciate your comment..
Thank you Fred for the comments on "Between Classes". I know what you mean by liking these old building. I like to photograph them in order to preserve them in case something does happen to them. I try to do more than take "record" shots. I love to preserve them artistically.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling; “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hoi Fred
Hello, Fred! Thank you so much for the compliment on Twins of the Sky.. The sunflower and pine against the blue sky... I am just so happy to share some of the photos that mark my memories with those of you in Caedes because I find many good people are able to share some of their moments with me, and they also enjoy mine. This IS A GREAT THING.. and again, I appreciate your kind comments as well as the vote. ~Ouimon~ Paul W
Thank you so much for your kind words on Sunrise. Sorry it took so long to say thank you it has been a busy holiday weekend. The sunrise from my deck is a great thing if it only lasted longer.
Hi Fred. Very nice to meet another carpenter on this site ! ..and thanks for your kind words and high voting on my little mushroom family...lol..the colours contrast very well as you said. I didn´t dare to pick and eat these mushrooms, however..I was not not sure if it was a "skull & bone shroom" or not..lol.There are maybe twelve different mushrooms in the forests I recognize easily. Thanks again. -- Arne --

Thanks so much for your comment on Summer Rose.. I was rather surprised when it bloomed and just had to get a picture.. We are having a bad drought here, and I have to carry water to the roses, just to keep them alive..
Thank you for your nice comment on "Outside My Window". Yes, it is too bad that I only have that view for two weeks but that's what cameras are for, huh? hehe. Thanks again,
~Marianne

Hello, carpenter friend ! I was glad to see your kind comment on Shroom Composition. An unusal angle, but I like to find them..and this one works, I think. Is it possible for you to pick some eatable mushrooms in Holland/Netherlands ? I look forward to the mushroom season every year - it´s such a relaxing and joyful thing to try to find them in the woods.
Thanks for stopping by, Fred. -- Arne --.
Hello, Fred, and thanks for your kind comment on "Swans and lilies". And yes, dad was there too - he's just out of shot on the RH side, lurking in the reeds by the near bank and keeping a close eye on things. He hissed just to let us know that was as near as we were going to get :-)
Hi Fred,
Thank you so much for your positive feedback on the "mountain hut". I am glad you liked it. If you like such architecture I strongly encourage you to take a closer look at one of my photos presenting the mountain wooden church. Perhaps you'll find it interesting.

Good morning Fred, I appreciate you taking the time to comment on Exhilarating. That was a great morning to drive around and just look at all the beautiful scenes , the snow was heavy and stuck to everything, but the roads were clear, which made it even better. It was one of those snow falls that make you wonder, how do snowflakes get that big, Again thanks for looking. Dwight.

So you found it, that "mountain church" in Bieszczady mountains, Poland. Thank you for your nice comment on that. I am glad you liked it. If you like architecture shots I strongly encourage you to look at the Frombork cathedral.
Fred, thank you so much for the kind words on "a frosty afternoon". Haven't done much shooting lately, so it's especially nice when someone notices my past work.
I am glad you visit my works once in a while and leave some nice words which give me motivation to try hard. I am glad you liked "medieval ruins in Ogrodzieniec". This actually will be a series of ruins: in Mirow, Ogrodzieniec, Olsztyn.... I hope you will follow the series cause there are still some images to be uploaded. Stay tuned

Hallo Fred,
Indeed these was a lucky shot. I have sat on the first file for
such a first prize. And are also grateful that I could make the picture.
Thank you, however, again for your good comment on "Catches".
Hello Fred, my how nice it was to hear from you, and granted yes, it has been awhile, and I am delighted to see your return! Hope all is well! Many thanks to you for viewing 'My Flying Rainbow', and for the nice comments left for me to enjoy! Please don't stay away so long again! Sincerely, Marilyn
Kia ora Fred, Your very kind words on Yearning For yellow are so much appreciated. It is one of m pesonal favourites. Yellow is always such a happy colour :)
Kia ora Fred, thank you for your nice comment on Pink Cascade. The background I blotted out and changed to blue as I thought it contrasted well with the pink of the flowers, which I left exactly as they were. I am pleased you like it :)
You are quite welcome for the comment on the snails. They are abundant in my garden, which many people would not like, but they don't eat my plants, they mainly stay in the soil and eat things that they find there. My friends always tease me about loving the snails, but I just have always had a fondness for them. I've never seen a Roman Snail, so your picture was especially delightful!
Hey Fred,
Thanks a lot for your kind comment on "Just Sitting There", it is much appreciated,
Thanks also for pointing me to name of the little insect, indeed they were on rhododendrons in my garden, that explains its name, (~8
Glad you enjoyed it,
A friend of mine works in a camera store. The other day a very
confused looking woman approached the counter and handed my friend
a camera. She said "I took pictures, but I forgot to have film in
the camera. Can you please get them out of the camera for me?"
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
