Hi Michelle - I thankyou for your interest in "Mosaic fish panel 1" - there are 2/3 others in my gallery related to it. If you are interested there are a heap of great sites about mosaic making. One in particular is fun http://gwydir.demon.co.uk/jo/mosaic/index.htm where you can design your own in advance. Have fun! PM me if you have any problems or questions!
Hi Michelle :) Thanks so much for your kind comments on "Caedes Carnage" I really appreciate it and am so glad to know you enjoyed it! Thanks also for your suggestions on future works...it keeps me inspired to create!
And also for the Elk photo. I can't believe they didn't do their usual 90 mph disappearing trick! The photo was just a tad blurred - my hands were shaking with the adrenaline! But it was too cool not to post! Steve
thanks for ur comments on "7 cidades", "the beauty of sao. miguel" , and "hidden waterfall"...and btw...it is a great place to visit...and i highly recomend you go there...but make sure you have a local guide or somthing because only they know where to go :^D
So glad you stopped by - thanks for leaving the nice comments in my gallery. Hope you have a great day down there in Phoenix. I bet you it's prettier and warmer than here, where we are stuck in an inversion - fog and only 10 degrees - brrrr.
Hi Michelle...thanks so much for taking a moment to view A New Day...I' m very glad you enjoyed the verse and the image is to your liking...much appreciated.:Pat.
Oh hi again...glad to see you like fudge too...thanks again...btw, I took a look thru your gallery...very impressive and diverse...love Peaches'n'Cream, Jim Morrison, and nurse shark, to name a few.:Pat.
Thanks, Michelle, for the comments on the photo of the Longview Bridge. Things never are as anticipated! :) The smoke stacks are just steam, used extensively at the ship yards. The bridges around here run from 50 to more than 100 feet above the water! When I first moved here from Arizona, scared me half to death! Woah! That's ten stories high! But one gets used to it. Anyway, thanks for getting ME started!!! Steve

Hello Michelle, tks so much. Yes actually they moved in when we moved out. It was a fallen candle and the young girl just made it out in time through the thick smoke and fire, I am glad she is ok. Thank you for your well wishes.

Hi Michelle, and thank you for your kind comment on "Haiku in light and dark" - there's something about cherry blossom that always makes me think of haikus... :-)

Hi Michelle, thanks for your nice comment on "Rocks and Waves" - mach appreciated! Yes, it was a lovely holiday there, when I look now out of the window I want to be there again...
Thank you Michelle for the comments that you posted for my New Friend photo. I'm glad that you liked it. I chased him around for about 30 minutes.

Hello Michelle. I would love to have trained Egrets to model for me. Alas I have to make do with the regular not keen to be near people type:-) Thank you for your comments about “Ripples” and “Grubs Up”.
Thanks, Michelle, for the wonderful compliment on "Fast Water!" I was sorry to hear about Loomy's demotion. I mean, perhaps a downgrade to steelhead, but GOLDFISH? Aw, man!!!
Hi Michelle, you are so kind to use such heartwarming words to express your thoughts on "Iridescence"! Could you smell them? Ha! Thank you Michelle. Sincerely, Marilyn
Thanks, Michelle. I made about 10 different versions of "Lilac Rhythms" (different designs and colors). Maybe I'll pop some of the others up sometime. Appreciate you taking time to comment.
Thanks Michelle for commenting on "Hillside".Macros are a challenge for sure and certainly have their drawbacks as in this case.I appreciate the comments..
Thank you too for you comments on my posting Sculpture in Shadows. The elements that you refered to "the reflection of the tree on the right and the stray twigs on the right" were the same points that drew me to the picture. You have a great eye.
Well, Michelle, here I am back again thanking you for your compliments on my photography. I'm greatful for your comments left on my posting entitled Triptic Trees. You have sharp appreciation for detail that some simply miss.
Good morning Michelle
Thank you for your comments on "Four waterlillies at Cooloola". There probably could be a story written, with a moral and a surprise ending perhaps :)

Hi Michelle...thanks so much for taking a look at Remembering Grandma...I appreciate your thoughtful comments...yes, my Grandmother would like it...thanks again.:Pat.
Hi Michelle... thanks for your comment on Something You Dont See Every Day... im glad you enjoyed it.. it was amazing... they are actually in between the wall of the house.. you can hear the buzz and smell of honey inside... I had to balance on a piece of wood.. and hope i didnt disturb them when i took the shot... lol..
Thank you for the nice comment on the photo of the Bridge at Newport. Actually, the other bridge was on the Columbia River, and this one is on the coast. This bridge was first made famous (and caused Oregon to become a desired movie location) when "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" was filmed in Newport. Jack Nickolson and his crew of escapees set sail under this bridge in one of the more memorable scenes. Steve
What a lovely comment about my Moon shot...it was one of those things...I saw it, I stopped the car...and I shot the moon!! smile...and it turned out...so this time it wasnt talent but good fortune that I saw that gorgeous object in the sky...thank youi again.!!
Hi Michelle,
Thank you for visiting my Old Homestead. Your input is more than deserved. You have humbled me with your comments.I used to live in AZ. Mesa, for that matter. Just returned to Colorado in 1999. I am happy to hear that you now carry a camera with you at all times. Couldn't you just kick yourself when you think about all of the images that you have missed? Me too!

Thank you, Michelle, for the wonderful comments on the 2nd posting of the little chapel in rural Oregon. I risked life and limb for that shot! Icy roads, and all! But it was fun, and I'm so glad you like it. That makes it all worthwhile! Take care of you, and thanks... Steve
And thank you again for the gracious words on the Gnat Creek photo. I really like that one too Michelle. It just speaks to me - I think I spent most of my formative years in school daydreaming about trout streams like this! Thanks so much for the enthusiasm and support. Steve
About the focus: 2 solutions.
1) To work in manual focusing mode
2) To work in auto-focus, but be sure the focusing was done on the real topic.
If you are working with a SLR, The first method is the best, because the viewfinder is extremly precise.
If you are working with all other than a SLR, you must learn the best method with the autofocus. It depends of your cam. On my Minolta Dimage, I can work with a green area in the center. 1/ I put the real topic in the center 2/ when the focusing si done, I hold the button and correct my position 3/ I take the photo.
This is certainly decribed in your owner manual
If you want to make progress, you must master your AF system, because a bad focusing always ruins your shot :-)
Michelle,
Thank you for visiting my Livery Stable Lock. I am especially greatful for your feedback about the framing. I thought that I woul try something different so I posted this image in just the basics. No drop shadow or fancty border. You are the first to have any comment on it. Thank you so much. Keep watching for my work. If you see anything that doesn't please you let me know. No hard feelings.I have thick skin :0)

Thanks, Michelle, for dropping by. Hope things are going well for you. Still raining down Phoenix way? My brother, in California, says they're really getting swamped.
Hi, Michelle, you are the fastest commentor so far to my postings, lol ...less than a minute..
Thank you so much...It was very nice to enter that greenhouse..
Michelle;
Thank you so very much for your very nice words about my Tmb Butte, Monument Valley image. You have inspired me to approach a few post card companies that I know of, with this image. Who knows maybe they will see some value in it. I'll let you know

Thanks for the comment on "Pampas Grass", I drove by the site every wednesday for 3 weeks and took shots - just to be shure I caught the right moment, I also captured some shot .mov videos inside the grass while the wind was rustling through, it was awesome.
Thanks Michelle. I really appreciate the compliment on "Pondside Early." You're right - I do like those early morning shots. It's cold enough I can usually count on the farm dog staying warmly ensconced by the pot-bellied stove instead of eating wayward photographers. I've never enjoyed photographing big, bare teeth... Steve
Hi Michelle...thank you so much for viewing and commenting on Tarnished...with your artistic eye, I appreciate your suggestions...I do wish I had centered the poem somewhat better...as for font size, I wondered about that but worried that one too small would be difficult for some to read...actually, my own critique of the posting lies in the wording of the poem...I now wish I had expressed the odd sentence a little differently...oh well, guess I won't worry about it too much...tks again.:Pat.
Hi Michelle....thanks so much for stopping by & visitng ~spring~ and leaving me such warm, encouraging words. This tulip was begging to be photographed. LOL. I am grateful that I am able to share a bit of it's beauty with you. Glad that you enjoyed it.
Thanks for the comment on Flight. It isn't actually that difficult to do....I just took the image and used a combination of pinch and radial blur....and voila..instant moving pic!
hi Michelle.. im glad you enjoyed Nature's Corkscrew.. not sure how it grew like that.. its definitely what prompted me to get some pics of it.. ill take some more when it blossoms.. should make some really neat photos then..

Thanks Michelle for commenting on *Cold As Ice*...your right, it really does look like an electric snowflake...perhaps that would've been a more appropriate name for it :P...anyway...loved hearing from you...enjoy your day! ^_^
Thx again for your feedback Michelle, its much appreciated. We'll try to get "Implosion" on for you. Some paintings are hard to photograph in detail because of the light reflection but we're working on it. Have a great weekend.
Hi Michelle ! I´m glad "Painted For A Pow-Wow 2" is a butterfly pic in you taste. If you want to change your icon just PM me...lol. Thanks for being so kind to comment !!
Hello Michelle, I am most pleased with your extremely kind comment on my Green Emerald Damselfly. I had a silhouette image in mind when I took this shot and hoped it would show the transparency of the wings. It came out really well, much to my surprise.
Sincerely, Fred
