Thanks for commenting on so many of my recent posts Paul - Still Water, Mud Flats, Summer Song, Larus Argentatus, Paradise Found and Belle Tout. Great to hear from you and that day in London is still on as far as I'm concerned. That's if I dont get to Portsmouth first - I am getting more and more interested in the Spinaker Tower. Cheers for all your support.
Hi Paul, thanks so much for finding an older shot of mine you liked (color my world - 2). I'm always pleased with your gracious comments. Hope to see more of your work soon.
Thank you very much Paul (That's an easy name to remember) for taking the time to stop by and comment on Rays of Hope. I'm glad you liked it and you are always welcome to visit anytime.
Hi Paul, thanks for all your comments. I have been away for a few days so only just have time to respond to your question re. using a tripod. I do try touse one as often as possible, where I cannot I tend to use the TV setting or AV and change the setting to that I can capture the best picture with a fast setting. Probably not recommended but it works for me mostly. :)

Paul, thanks so much for all your comments on my posts - you are determined to catch up! Some of the ones you've looked at are not favourites of mine to be honest - Blackwater, Squadron, Hip Hip Hooray.... but I thought they were worth posting. Great to have you active on the site again, I was starting to wonder where you'd got to!

Hi Paul, Thank you so much for the wonderful comment on "Contemplating", greatly appreciated. It is not a HDR image.
It is the way the sky looked that day. Later there was a thunderstorm. Only editing done to the image is some sharpening and converting to B&W. I also added a little contrast.
I am so glad you like it :-).
Thanks for your comment on "Liverpool Cathedral #10". It is such an awe-inspiring building that it's hard to work out what to photograph next. The biggest problems are trying to convey the sheer size of the building and coping with the low levels of light. Anyway, overcoming, or doing one's best to overcome problems is what makes us improve.

Hi Paul and thank you,The Labyrinth,I used the Orton method for this shot blending two images one normal the other with a Gaussian Blur,This gave it a soft focus whilst retaining the exposure..Take care Richie.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for your comment on Lugger Falcon I'm pleased you liked it, & can see my point about low def uploads on other websites, while uploading in hi def can lead to piracy at least Caedes allows members only to freely browse this website now which is an improvement.
A River.Thanks Paul.Taken with a cheap £80 Cosina 28-210mm lens hand held,A little aberration but I can live with that.May be better with a Tripod..Richie

Hi Paul, thanx for the ind words on Silent Stillness. It is actually a manip, I liked the comp myself, but the sky was very drab, so I added the sunset.
Hey Paul, thanks for the comments for "Front" and "Prison Row". I might take up on the offer to help out with the Eilean Donan photo "Front", since I'm still a little new to PS.
Thanks for your comment on "Air Pelican" and I completely agree Paul, I would have loved the bird to be a little bigger, unfortunately my zoom was already at it's limit:( Cheers, Kelcey.
Thanks again for looking at Prickly Spirals. Yes, I'm finding myself enjoying symmetry and geometric shapes at the moment. Probably more so in nature, where such patterns sometimes go against our preconceptions of growth as uncoordinated development.
Hi Paul, thanks for your comment on 'Durdle Door' and for the advice. I did actually clone out a whole class worth of kids on the beach who were doing fieldwork but i thought i would leave in one or two just to give it a bit of scale :) Glad you liked it.

Hi Paul, thanks for the comments on my Concorde photo. They have now housed the Concorde that is on show at Manchester Airport in a big glass conference centre - pretty impressive - you can read about it here: https://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/manweb.nsf/Content/ConcordeInformation
....such beautiful planes - shame they don't fly any more - as I live close to the airport I used to see them occasionally coming in to land and the sight of it always made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. :)
..thanking you in advance for your comments. Please know that all your comments are appreciated....." Live well, love much, laugh often!" .... mygallery
