Hi! I'd like to encourage you to continue to take shots of the things you see around your house. You have a great eye for finding something normal and taking a really good shot of it, turning it into a fantastic photo! Keep up the good work!
Brand name? Special series? Speed? Special features? I am in the market for a few lenses (otherwise that 20D won't do me much good), so I am always open for suggestions.
If it helps at all, so far I am considering a Canon 17-85mm as my main lens (kinda slow, but wide zoom and it has IS), a Canon prime 50mm (not sure if I want the f/1.8 or the f/1.4 yet), and a Sigma 105mm Macro. If you have any questions, I would be glad to share the research I did, but I don't know much about this 28-90. Maybe I should get one too?
Hey Riley, thanks for your regards on my gallery =) I'm really glad you like my work! I looked through your gallery as well and I really like what you've got going so far, keep it up!
I think a telephoto would be nice to have some time too, but I want to save up until I can get something better than dirt. :-)
A wise person (probably on this site) that when you are telephoto, the nature of your subject isn't to sit and wait for you to put up a tripod. In other words, fast is very important (i.e. f/2.8 instead of f/5.6). In yet more other words, if you are mortal (like me), the best telephoto will probably be prime, because they are way cheaper (yet, sadly, still not cheap). After I have built the rest of my collection, maybe I can get a 200mm prime or something. It is in these instances that the 1.6x magnification factor doesn't bother me a bit. :-D
Hehe! Thanks Riley about 'Cursed spectra'. I knew many caedes members will find it creepy, but I liked the mood in this picture.... Glad you like it :-)

Thank you, Riley, for leaving such a nice comment on "High Voltage", much appreciated.
I will try and improve my photoshop skills to make good use of some kinds of filters or effects in the future.
Have a great time...
