Hello, Allow me to welcome you to Caedes!! I have great fun here and I'm sure you will too. There are very friendly and helpful people here. Hope you enjoy! :)

Hello! Glad you liked the ermm..."are we there yet." Since your new, and just incase nobody has told you yet, you can download free image manipulating (right word?) software such as: Photofiltre, Infranview, or GIMP...non of which i've used b4 (but they should all make your images look better if used properly)... >_>
Oh in THAT case, use photoshop...it's better, i think. Unless you have a reeeaaallly old version. As long as you can adjust lvls, sharpen, contrast, brightness, etc etc, that is all you should need. :)
thank you.i have plenty of work but the administration of this site only allows for one image to be uploaded at a time.keep watch.i loved 'shadows in the light' and 'wind dancing' by the way...brilliant capture.
thanks for the comment. the smoke coming out is smoke from the fire in some places, and steam in others. on the road it is steam rising up from the underground fire. centralia is a very lonely, desolate place. i made a book on it for an art class with the pictures i took. its slowly fading away, but a place i often go to because of the past. it was a booming place where i live, had hotels and diners and gas stations, and now only has steps and foundations of a past left behind..
Thank you for leaving me a comment about my picture. I use a Nikon P2 and I love it. I want to get a better camera in the future, something with an interchangable lens. I love to take macro shots, but would like to be able to get closer. Anyway, thanks!

Hi Ashley,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on 'bushes in their holiday garb'. It means alot that you focused on the fallen leaves, as I felt they were the finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on "Tired Place to Rest a Weary Head", your comments are greatly appreciated! Yeah, it's a bit grainy/blurry because it was so cold and overcast that day. I had to crank up the ISO plus the coldness made it difficult to hold the camera perfectly still (had no gloves, silly me). Oh well, I'll have to pack some next time I'm out! Thanks again for your comments!

Hi Ashley and thanks so much for ypour comment at "Smile- You're on candid camera". It probably does look a little grainy because I had my camera pushed to the limits and this little guy was sooo tiny. Thanks for stopping by- Eileen

Hey you just left a note on Stillhouette, thank you for that!! And I just voted for your "A place for two"! Not sure why it has a low C-index - I gave it a 7. It's nicely composed, and the subject material tells a really nice story. very beautiful picture! cheers, Quiet
Yes, I do agree re the c-index. There are some that have a knack for taking amazing pics that really attract many many people. Then, others that take unique shots that please really only a few, but those few are generally really pleased. So, the c-index is good for measuring the former, but not so much the latter. Art is hard to judge anyway.. it's a beholder thing!
Thank you so much for your gracious remarks on crying rose, Ashley. I believe your warm words surely brought comfort to our depressed beauty queen. She was afraid her beauty would pass away unnoticed but the incredible feedback showed that she was wrong.
Ashley, your comment on my "Dead Stalks Riverside" was so nice...thank you very much. It is one of my faves and I love that someone else could appreciate it, too!
Hi Ashley!
Thanks so much for calling in on my old waterfall picture. It was a very old negative which I scanned in but the harsh blacks looked wrong, so I softened them a bit! Surprises me to remember what I got up to nearly 30 years ago! Thanks again and have a good weekend photographing!! Kate
Hi Ashley, thanks so much for your time and comments on The Great Door, glad you enjoyed it, as always it is much appreciated , All the best to you and your loved ones, Dwight.
Hi Ashley, It's me again!! Thanks a million for the positive feedback on my latest posts, especially Ready for Takeoff. I'm glad that you liked it enough to download. Enjoy my friend! Diane
Thank you for commenting on 'Ol' Blue Eyes'. We are in total agreement over the "sponge" filter background. It was only a slight improvement over attempts to darken, blur, smooth, etc. the background which then hid all the fine feathers behind his head or looked unblended. You have a great eye for this; feel free to comment on anything in my gallery, it is most appreciated.
Hiya Ashley! Hey! Thanks for the words on "antediluvian dreams... ", the photo was a late summer one I took back in August. Now that I've freed myself from the chess motif I'm able to share all the photos I've taken as a camera bug. Thanks again!
